Safe Harbor Homeless Shelter of Manistee County
Providing shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and working to eliminate barriers to stable housing. Winter sanctuary from November through April providing a warm, safe environment, meals, vital documents recovery, housing resources, and connections to agencies and resources to those experiencing homelessness in the community we serve.
NMCAA
The Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA) operates in Manistee County, offering essential resources to help residents achieve financial stability, find stable housing, and lower energy costs. Local services include homeless/eviction prevention, weatherization, foreclosure/budgeting assistance, and free income tax preparation.
Manistee Friendship Society
The Manistee Friendship Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Manistee County. Since 2002, we have been a safe place for socialization, support, education, and activities for adults living with various degrees of mental illness. All our services are completely FREE of charge. At Staircase Youth services our mission drives our actions every day. We are a dedicated outreach organization serving Lake, Manistee, Mason, Missaukee, Oceana, and Wexford Counties.
Habitat For Humanity
Manistee County Habitat for Humanity partners with local families to build safe, affordable homes right here in our community. As part of Habitat for Humanity's global mission, we believe every person deserves a decent place to live- and we work alongside volunteers, donors, and partner families to make that possible.
Choices of Manistee County
CHOICES of Manistee County, Inc. is a human service agency serving survivors of domestic violence (intimate partner violence) in Manistee County, MI. CHOICES provides emergency shelter, counseling, emotional support, advocacy, in-person and over-the-phone crisis intervention, and supportive services to survivors seeking assistance. CHOICES offers educational information and services to the community at large to attain increased public awareness of domestic violence. It is with a great commitment that we seek to provide the support and advocacy necessary for survivors to realize their right to self-determination.
Samaritan Way of Manistee County
We provide a safe space from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday for those coming out of addiction to meet and have a community of like-minded individuals.
